We recently had a discussion in the sbom-everywhere meeting talking about changing the licens field to the actual license. But so far i think you description is accurate regarding the current information.

I raised some questions in Slack about whether or not this the right approach, but those are big questions. In the short-term, at least, let's document the current state.
